JOURNEY TO ENLIGHTENED WEALTH
The Nuts and Bolts of Network Marketing
Let's get into the nuts and bolts of
what network marketing is and how it works. As you
read this description of network marketing, try to
put aside any preconceptions you have about it.
The network marketing industry of today is so
different from the way it has been that chances
are you have outdated information.
Network
marketing is a way for businesses to leverage
word-of-mouth advertising , specifically, the power
of
your telling other people about the products
sold by those businesses.
You
already do word-of-mouth advertising for movies, restaurants and services
you really like when you tell your friends about
them. For instance, suppose you tell your brother
about a great new Mexican restaurant you just
discovered, and your brother takes his wife to
this new restaurant, and they both love it. The
restaurant has just gained two new long-term
customers.
To show
his appreciation for your word-of-mouth
advertising , suppose the owner tells
you that every time your brother visits the
restaurant, he will send you a check for 10% of
the value of your brother's meal. The owner also
tells you that he will do the same for anyone else
you refer.
You
receive your first check a week later . You're so enthused that you begin referring
other people to this restaurant, and pretty soon,
you have a steady stream of extra income every
month.
That
income is based on leverage because you benefit from not only your own
efforts, but from every visit your brother and
friends make to the restaurant. Now, the 5 minutes
it takes to tell someone about this restaurant is
worth a lot more than getting paid for 5 minutes
work at your job. You get paid even when you don't
go to the restaurant.
Network
marketing works in exactly the same way . Companies that use network marketing
to sell their products simply pay you a referral
fee every time someone you referred buys their
products.
